Work and Personal Life Balancing
- Paid Leave Time - Personal Leave Time (PLT)
Full-time employees accrue personal time off equaling approximately 16.5 days per year. After 5 years of continuous service, you will accrue an additional 3.5 days per year. This time is to be used as sick time, vacation time, personal time, etc.

Pre-tax dollars can be set aside for those health care expenses that are not covered by your medical/dental/vision coverage. Some examples are eyeglasses, contacts, deductibles, co-payments and certain over the counter drugs. - Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts
Pre-tax dollars can also be set aside to cover dependent care expenses. Expenses that are eligible for reimbursement through a dependent care account include expenses you incur taking care of dependents so you can work. These expenses can include payments to a day care center, elder care, after-school care, or babysitting services in your home or someone else's by a licensed day care provider.
Income Protection
- Long-Term Disability
Long-term disability will extend your disability coverage after 90 days through a disability until age 65. Coverage is provided at 60% of salary up toa maximum of $6,000 per month. - Life Insurance
BSST provides life insurance coverage equal to 150% your annual salary.
Retirement Savings and Stock Purchase Plans
- 401(k) Savings Plan
The employee can contribute up to 100% of salary to the 401(k) plan. BSST will match 50% of the employee’s contribution up to a maximum of 4% (2% total of gross salary will be contributed by BSST).
Education and Training
The company encourages and will pay for professional training. Professional training is considered to be any activity that develops skills or knowledge that contributes to an employee’s ability to perform responsibilities of his or her current job.
BSST reimburses employees for tuition and lab fees per academic period for pre-approved courses as long as the employee receives a grade of “C” or above or “Pass.” The courses must be directly related to the employee’s current position or to a position to which the employee could reasonably progress.
