BSST’s parent company is Amerigon Incorporated, (Nasdaq: ARGN), headquartered in Northville, Michigan. Amerigon designs, develops and markets products based on advanced, proprietary, efficient thermoelectric device technologies for a wide range of global markets.
Amerigon’s current principal product is the proprietary Climate Control Seat™ (CCS™) brand cooled/heated seat, which is sold to automotive and truck manufacturers and their tier one suppliers. Amerigon has sold over 2 million CCS seat systems, and has achieved a growth rate of 150% over the past five years.
The success of the CCS brand makes Amerigon the world's largest supplier of thermoelectric devices. CCS cooled/heated seats are now offered in over 20 vehicle lines built by five of the world's largest automotive manufacturers - Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai.
Amerigon was incorporated in 1991. Offices are located in Northville, Michigan and Southern California, as well as Japan, Germany and England.
